Many years ago, I had one of those freaky dreams that stay with you. In this dream a friend of ours pointed at something behind my head and as I turned to look, I was now totally awake, out of the dream and looking at my digital alarm clock. It read 12:34. This definitely made me pay attention (see Artist’s Story) but what could it mean? What was the meaning of this sequence, this algorithm? It took me years to find out. My friend, who had appeared in my crazy dream and shared so many other magical experiences with us, said she had no idea. Like I said years later it all came together on a mountain top on Orcas Island. I already told you about the first one. Number one that is. (see vertical axis) being upright and empowered with momentum and grace
Two.
Expansive or contracted. The two modalities of being.
Like the singular aspect of the spinning top simile, here we have two aspects to help us remember.
Expansiveness of course is what you feel present with the energy of love, compassion, forgiveness, generosity, kindness etc. Contractedness on the other hand is the energetic signature of; I think you guessed it, fear, anger, selfishness, pettiness etc. I think you get the idea. What I find interesting here is that which ever modality you are in you only seem to have access to those energetic frequencies so pettiness can easily escalate to anger then on to… you get the idea. The opposite is true as well compassion can lead to generosity and so on. What I find interesting though is you cannot cross the modalities such as compassionately petty, generously angry, sure there is such a thing as tough love but that is really just a form of compassion with a touch of fearlessness isn’t it.
This whole notion of expansiveness and contractedness is important when taking note of our energy and perhaps seeing where our default settings are. This also may shed light on our interactions with others and their default settings (see the three dances).
Most importantly how we use our energy here sets up how we go into the next part of the sequence or algorithm. Number 3, or the three waves of creation.
